I was reading that yesterday, because of the link to it in Arts & Letters daily, and it made me think. There's nearly always someone busking at the top of the steps from the GO concourse down to the beginning of the Union subway station/PATH entrance. Rarely do I pause for more than a moment; would I stop and abide longer, if the person was particularly good? I honestly don't know.
